Dawn Zimmer is President of Zimco, Inc, a technology consulting firm. Zimco was founded in 1994 to meet the unique needs of K-12 schools in the mid-Michigan area. In the past 15 years Zimco has expanded to provide it’s K-12 consulting state-wide and have included mid-Michigan businesses in our client base. Dawn’s Zimco responsibilities include business development, technical consulting, and training.
Prior to forming Zimco in 1994, Dawn worked for nine years with IBM Corporation where she received several awards for outstanding customer service performance. Two prestigious awards included the “100% Club”, awarded for reaching sales quotas, as well as the “IBM Systems Engineering Symposium”. The IBM Systems Engineering Symposium was awarded to high achieving System Engineers who provided excellent technical service and customer support. As an Account Systems Engineer, Dawn was responsible for technical consulting, technical support and marketing support.

In 2002 Dawn and her husband Scott (who had joined her at Zimco in 1999) started Air Advantage, a wireless Internet Service Provider. Dawn’s Air Advantage responsibilities include operations management and process development.
In 2008 Zimco was awarded an exclusive marketing and support agreement to sell and support STAGES Software. STAGES Software was developed by Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) as a teacher evaluation software system. In 1999 SVSU was awarded a five year Title II Teacher Quality Enhancement grant funded by the U. S. Department of Education. Due to Dawn’s stellar reputation and experience in the K-12 industry, SVSU awarded exclusive selling and marketing rights to Zimco.
Dawn is a four year Committee Member of the Relay For Life of Frankenmuth. She also is the captain of the Air Advantage Relay For Life team – the Noma Nixers. The past four years Dawn has organized a youth 3-on-3 basketball tournament that has netted over $15,000 for the American Cancer Society.
