Jonathan Joles is Zimco’s Chief Technology Officer. Jon joined Zimco in 2002 and has worked for Zimco most of his professional life. During that time he has been involved in the design, implementation, development and maintenance of network systems for most of our clients. Jon’s experience with Project Management and technical knowledge has allowed him to be successful in the total redesign of many school networks. Every detail is planned and executed. He has also been instrumental in designing network security systems and reliable backup solutions for our clients.
Jon’s training has also provided him with a vast knowledge of data base programming. This knowledge has allowed him to integrate database applications into web design. He has developed web-based tools to assist with web-enabled customer specific applications. Some of these applications include: Help-Desk programs; customer database information; storage and retrieval; web-based network monitoring applications; and educational based discipline recording.
Jon is active in aiding the community with technology assistance. In 2006 he worked with coaches and staff at Frankenmuth School District to design and develop a way to broadcast basketball games over the internet. This piece of broadcasting software was ultimately called Z-Cast (http://zcast.zimco.net/). The Basketball version was so popular that later on Jon also created a Football and Baseball version.
Jon is also a Board Member of Lake Huron Credit Union (LHCU) in Saginaw Michigan where he is a director on the board. He joined the board as an ambassador in 2006 and was voted in as a board director in 2007. Currently he serves as Treasurer. Jon has been instrumental in providing valuable technology insight and knowledge to the other board members and CEO. This has allowed LHCU’s technology services like Online Banking, Website, and Online Safety Box to grow very fast to provide more value to the membership.

- Implementing a 10TB hard disk backup solution at East Lansing Schools.
- Working with Lutheran Homes of Michigan to develop specialize web based software to meet their individual needs.
- Working with Tuscola County on several Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) based Wireless projects.

- Designed and developed the Zimco Business System (ZBS), which is the engine to all of our current and future programming projects.
- Consolidating/Virtualizing East Lansing Public Schools’ & Mount Clemens Schools’ Netware servers to SUSE OES2.
- Project Manager for the Datacenter move at Lansing Public Schools
- Systems Engineer for the design and development of our Open Learning Environment (OLE) to standardize the way school networks operate and focus on performance and availability.
- Systems Engineer for the re-design of Bellevue School’s Novell network
- Worked with LHCU to create specialized software for their Courtesy Pay needs.
- Z-Cast Broadcasting Software
- Migration Specialist for the move from Microsoft to Netware at several schools
- Designed and implemented summer upgrade projects for many schools
