Marty Coopes has worked for Zimco for 6 years.  A majority of Marty’s time is spent working with various K-12 school districts in Michigan.  Marty is very knowledgeable in many different areas, but his specialty is properly integrating new technology within an existing infrastructure.

Marty started at Zimco in 2004 as a valuable addition to the Buena Vista School District technology team. At Buena Vista, Marty was responsible for computer installation and repair, software support, phone support, and computer imaging.  Eventually, Marty took on the role of technology director at Akron-Fairgrove school district and Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port Laker School District.

As technology director, Marty was responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure, servers, and all software support.  At Lakers, Marty spearheaded various projects that ranged from implementing server virtualization into the network and the migration to a new Finance and Student management system.

Marty is also currently working with the East Lansing Public School District. As a technology consultant, Marty is responsible for network maintenance and software management. Part of Marty’s responsibility at East Lansing Public School District is to implement Zimco's Open Learning Environment. The Open Learning Environment schema focuses on allowing users more flexibility and control over their technological environment.
